New Palm Pre Applications

So I received a promotional email from Sprint regarding the Pre today and clicked through to the landing page. The page has some great social media integrations like a link to the Twitter search page for the Palm Pre and embedded YouTube videos. One video in particular that I really liked was this one:

You can watch the video here to the right on my homepage.

The thing that I liked about this video was the review of some of the apps designed for the Pre using the new WebOS. They have a fantastic Fandango app that fully syncs up with the Pre. It automatically pulls your location via GPS in your phone and shows you movies close to you. If you purchase tickets throught the app it automatically adds the showtime to your calendar!

Then there is the Pandora app which is an improvement on the iPhone version of the all because of the tight integration. You have a status bar at the bottom of the screen where you can access the main Pandora functions while say... browsing the Internet, using the calendar, looking for directions, or whatever. Because the Pre has the ability to run mulitple apps at the same time! Something that the iPhone is not close to doing.

There is another app that allows you to lookup flight times and even see a visual map of a flight in progress and where the plane is at on its route! And lastly they review the Palm OS Classic emulator which allows you to run old Palm OS apps on your phone seamlessly!
